RUN2CURE

Duckies Steps Up for Run2Cure Neuroblastoma.

At Duckies Shoes, we believe in putting our best foot forward—not just in creating shoes that help little ones take their first steps, but also in supporting causes that make a difference. This year, we were proud to take part in Run2Cure Neuroblastoma, a charity fundraiser run dedicated to raising funds for critical research into neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer that claims more lives of children under five than any other cancer.

Held annually in Sydney and Melbourne, Run2Cure is the flagship fundraising event for Neuroblastoma Australia, and it brings together thousands of participants united by a common goal: to support life-saving research. This year’s event saw over 2,000 attendees lace up their shoes, raising an incredible $150,000 through registrations, donations, and a silent auction. Duckies Shoes contributed $2,000 towards this milestone, and we couldn’t be prouder to be part of such an impactful initiative.

The Fight Against Neuroblastoma

Neuroblastoma is a particularly aggressive cancer that disproportionately affects children under five. Despite advancements in pediatric oncology, current treatments are often harsh, with long-term side effects that can significantly impact a child’s quality of life.

This is why research is vital—not just to develop more effective treatments but to ensure they are less toxic for growing bodies. Events like Run2Cure are essential in funding the innovative research that will lead to better outcomes for these young fighters and their families.

A Community United

Run2Cure isn’t just about raising funds—it’s about raising awareness and building a community of support. Whether through the in-person events in Sydney and Melbourne or the virtual Run2Cure Local during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, this fundraiser inspires people across Australia to rally for an important cause.

At Duckies, we’re inspired by the strength of the families affected by neuroblastoma and the dedication of the researchers working to make a difference. As we continue to design shoes for little feet, we’re reminded of the importance of giving every child the chance to walk, run, and explore a future full of possibility.
